New Brochure of the Ecole du Patrimoine Africain

The Ecole du Patrimoine Africain (EPA – School of African Heritage) has published its new information brochure. It was created jointly with ICCROM and presents the school’s mission, objectives, areas of activities, and functions.

The brochure accompanies the fundraising campaign voted by the Member States of ICCROM during the 26th General Assembly in November 2009. The resolution that was unanimously adopted asks ICCROM to increase the EPA fund to 3,000,000 Euros. The EPA Fund is the endowment fund created and managed by ICCROM since 2001. It produces interest to help EPA to cover 40% of its operating budget. The fundraising campaign is still ongoing, and ICCROM is fundraising for the 565,800 Euros needed to reach its goal of 3,000,000 Euros.

EPA was created in 1998 by ICCROM and the University of Abomey-Calavi following the conclusion of the PREMA (PREvention for Museum in Africa) programme. It is located in Porto Novo, Benin.
