IFLA – IFI Cooperation Agreement

In June 2012, Desiree Martinez Uriarte, President of the International Federation of Landscape Architects and Shashi Caan, President of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IFLA and IFI .

In support of reaffirming the specific characteristics of each organization and the professional skills of their members IFLA and IFI express the wish to pursue the promotion of interiors and landscape architecture as a means of highlighting the importance of environmental context as a factor for improving the overall well-being of communities.

Both organizations will encourage joint initiatives that correspond to the professional goals and ambitions of their members.

IFLA and IFI propose strategies, actions, and recommendations to be submitted to their respective Councils with the purview of encouraging a collaborative evolution. Each organization will invite its partner to be represented at events of common interest that are hosted periodically.
